About
An agency built around explaining things properly
Kingsway Advisory works with families and business owners on life insurance and tax-advantaged savings. We also train the advisors who deliver that work. Both halves of the business follow the same standard.
Who we are
What Kingsway does
We are a financial services agency of licensed advisors working across North America. Our client work falls into three areas: life insurance for families, tax-advantaged savings and investment accounts, and corporate strategies for incorporated business owners. In practice, most clients need some of each.
We hold independent contracts with multiple insurers and investment providers. That matters for a practical reason: an advisor tied to one company can only recommend that company’s shelf, whatever your situation. Independence means the recommendation can follow the need.
The second half of what we do is developing advisors. We recruit, license, train, and mentor people entering the industry. It is a significant part of the business, and it is why our standards for how advice gets explained are as much a training matter as a client matter.
How we operate
Four principles we hold each other to
Explain before you recommend
If a client cannot describe what they bought and why, we did not do our job. Understanding comes first, paperwork second.
The trade-offs, not just the upside
Every product has limitations, exclusions, and costs. We put those on the table before a signature, not in a follow-up email afterward.
Advice that survives the meeting
Plans are written down, summarized, and revisited. A recommendation nobody remembers a year later was never really a plan.
The long relationship
We would rather have a client for thirty years than a sale this quarter. That shapes what we recommend and what we decline to recommend.
Licensing & compliance
The standards we work under
- Advisors are licensed under the applicable regulator in each jurisdiction they serve and carry the required errors and omissions coverage.
- Continuing education requirements are ongoing rather than one-time, because the rules and the products both change.
- Product recommendations are documented, with the reasoning recorded so it can be reviewed later.
- Client information is handled in line with the privacy expectations that apply where you live, and we ask for sensitive details only through secure channels.
- Where a question belongs with an accountant or a lawyer, we say so and refer rather than guess.
What we don’t do
Being clear about the boundaries
- We do not promise investment returns, and we treat any illustration as a scenario rather than a forecast.
- We do not recommend replacing existing coverage unless the comparison genuinely favours it.
- We do not push a product because a deadline or a campaign says so.
- We do not prepare tax returns or draft legal agreements. We coordinate with the professionals who do.
- We do not take on work where we are not the right fit. Sometimes the honest answer is a referral elsewhere.

The first meeting costs nothing and commits you to nothing. Worst case, you leave with a clearer picture of where you stand.
